School

School is a learning cradle of life. Besides, learning how to read, write, play and make friends, we also learn values like punctuality, honesty and compassion. School is a place where everyone can go and learn something. It gives us life lessons and new skills that help us in our life.

One of the most memorable experiences of  my school life was the moment when I did my science exhibition last year in class 7. In one class there was supposed to be six projects: Both working and not working, my group had the least members ( we only had four members while the rest of groups had six members) but I was very happy to be in the group as everyone was very cooperative. We all agreed to gather in my friend's house during the weekends and sleep their for the night.

When I reached to his house, they were all waiting for me as I was the last one to arrive. After a short conversation, me and my friends went into the house and met his mother. His mother greeted us and made us some lemonade and brought some snacks for us to eat. Then she left the room and we were all left all alone. We then started to make a blue print on our working model which was about auto extinguishing fire with a sensor.

After discussing we went to town and bought all the materials needed. Then we divided the work into four equal parts and I did my own part. My job was to make the trees and the container that will contain the water to extinguished the fire. While doing our own work, we talked a lot about absolutely random stuffs. One moment we were talking about cats and the next moment we are talking about the people who died during a tsunami and the next about how to get away with a murder. It was very fun and time passed by very soon. Before long it was time to eat lunch. His mother had made a very delicious and hearty lunch and top of that we ate KFC. We rested for about an hour as it was hard to work after being so full. It was getting late so we slept the night at his house. I barely got any sleep as we spent the whole night talking about stuffs.

When the day of the exhibition came, we tried it again just to make sure it was working and to our horror it wasn't working. We panicked as there was only 10 minutes left before the exhibition. After calming down in the last five minutes, we changed the sensor and before I could check whether it worked or not the judge came. I was really glad that it worked when we presented it to the judges. Even though, I didn't win the exhibition it was a really fun and exciting event that I would not forgot.
